Acne scars are an unfortunate reality for many who have had repeated bouts with acne, regardless of whether the acne itself has cleared up or not. For deeper, more severe types of scars, such as “ice pick” scars, a punch excision is usually recommended. Often, after the punch excision, a laser treatment is required to complete the skin’s healing and make for a better overall look following the procedure itself.
