Since African Americans are more prone to keloids than any other race….So why would laser treatment not be at the top of the treatment list…Is it because of the type of skin they have versus other races.

I am African American. I have/had several large keloids on my face. After several failed steroid injections, I stopped having that done. One day I got laser hair removal with a Yag laser. When I woke up the next morning, my fat lumpy keloids were flat and gone. I was amazed and shocked. It’s been 5 years and one of them never returned again. The other one is stubbornness. It grows back after about 6 months. I just started to get it lasered again by a more powerful laser. Hopefully, this will zap it permanently like my other keloids. African Americans should definitely get lasers. I’m light/medium brown skin though. Not sure if it will work for darker skin.
